Life Like Funny Farm

This morning, I was once again reminded that I have the best job in the world! I strolled into the office this morning at about 8:50. I fired up my email and then walked into the break room and poured myself a cup of coffee. When I came back into my office, I opened my shades and cracked open my window.

Do you remember the Funny Farm, staring Chevy Chase? My sister and I used to love to watch that flick. In the movie, Chevy was a writer and had an office in his home. He conveniently positioned his desk right next to the window so he could look out and view the outside world as he wrote. I used to think that would be the coolest office setup…and now I have it! Looking outside of my window, I can see the occasional wildlife (birds, neighborhood cat, coyote, and even wild turkey!). I can hear the birds chirping. I can feel the wind of spring.
In the beginning of the movie, Chevy absolutely loved the chirping of the birds. Towards the end, hew grew to hate it! He couldn’t get any work done because they were such a distraction. Hopefully that’s not going to become me!
